Daft Punk Finally Hit #1 With Help From The Weeknd on "Starboy"

Daft Punk have finally achieved another major milestone in their career, as the French duo finally peak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts with "Starboy".

After sitting 8 weeks at #2, the massive single which has been propelled to success with the help of The Weeknd finally took over Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles". Despite having cultivated massive success as a DJ duo, Daft Punk have never had a single reach #1 until now. Their previous hit "Lucky" featuring the talents of Pharrell Williams topped out at #2 in 2013. Daft Punk was first featured in Billboard's Hot 100 back in 1997, when "Around the World" first gained the airwaves peaking at #61 in August of 1997.

Just shy of 20 years, Daft Punk finally reached the music milestone just 19 years, 4 months, and one week since their first Hot 100 appearance.

Give the track another listen to see why Daft Punk continues to maintain their firm grip on EDM royalty.
