How Givenchy’s Favorite DJs Are Set to Conquer Fashion
The Martinez Brothers have been basking in the limelight for the past 10 years. With early support from Danny Tenaglia as teenagers, we've seen The Martinez Brothers grow up before our eyes. Now the tech-house masters are taking over the world of fashion. This article originally appeared on Vogue
If you’ve stepped foot inside of a club in the past few years, it’s likely you’ve heard the unmistakable sound of The Martinez Brothers.
Bronx-bred DJs Chris and Steve Martinez have played everywhere from DC10 Ibiza to iconic London club Fabric, and have developed a reputation for enlivening every room they enter. As integral parts of the international party scene, the brothers come in frequent contact with the fashion world, but their latest endeavor puts them in front of the cameras. Newly signed to IMG Models, they join the list of music world stars on the agency’s roster that includes Miguel and Wiz Khalifa. “It was something we always wanted to do,” says Steve. “Combining the fashion and the music—the reception so far has been amazing.”
You only have to take one glance at the brothers to see why the industry has taken note of them. With their striking good looks and streetwise personal style, they could easily fit right in with the lanky male models that populate Givenchy’s runway.
