EDM.com's Staff Picks For Best Dance Music Tracks of 2016

Although 2016 may have been a tumultuous year for us all, with a heavy focus on politics and the tragic passing of several legendary musicians, there was still plenty of great music that was able to cure our ills. Coming up with a Top 10 list is tough. Picking your favorite tracks of the year is kind of like picking your favorite child. You love them all equally, but at the end of the day, there were certain tracks that got a heavier rotation than others.

A few members of our staff wanted to share their top 10 picks of 2016 with you. There's sure to be several tracks you loved and jammed to this year, peppered in with some lesser known hits that will give you a good dose of new music before the year is out.

I think this list represents a wide variety of what electronic music can offer. Electronic music that fuses with hip hop, disco, orchestral, etc to create brand new sounds that we haven't heard before. These picks also also feature the triumphant return from pioneers like Justice, Daft punk, and deadmau5.
