Martin Shkreli Just Got Robbed of $15 Million Trying To Buy Kanye's Album
Since buying the one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin last year, pharma bro Martin Shkreli has been trying to take over hip-hop by throwing his money around - money it appears he made by exploiting sick people and stealing. But now it looks like he just got a taste of his own medicine.
Shkreli offered to buy Kanye West's forthcoming album, The Life of Pablo for $10 million, and later upped his offer to $15 million.
His later tweets seemed to indicate that the deal went through...
But then things took a turn for the hilarious - or tragic, if you are a walking, talking, price-gouging bag of dicks.
As funny as this is, we suspect that this whole situation could be an elaborate ruse to hide a large chunk of his money in advance of an impeding conviction for securities fraud, and the subsequent asset seizures that would likely follow. It's hard to imagine someone with any intelligence at all making these details public, unless he has a very specific reason for wanting this supposed theft to be widely reported.
