While most of these nominations are not too surprising it's good to see chillwave duo Alina Baraz & Galimatias's first collaborative effort under Album of the Year. While the singles "Fantasy," "Pretty Thoughts" and "Make You Feel" may not get played out at festival mainstages, they garnered millions on millions of plays and deserve to be recognized.
The first-ever EMAF not only goes to show the true impact of the electronic music movement but offers the opportunity to spotlight specific parts of the industry that play major roles in the continued development and evolution of the culture. Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted as the live performances and appearances are revealed leading up to the big event.
