Electronic Music Lost A Rising Star with the Passing of LA-Based Producer Pumpkin

We're saddened to share the news that LA-based producer Pumpkin has recently passed away.

Genre-bending electronic producer Pumpkin, known to his friends as Nick Alvarado has unfortunately passed away in a tragic car accident.

Having recently embarked on a spring tour, Pumpkin’s career showed promised having recently been added to the roster of booking agency Madison House, home to Bassnectar and an affiliate to the minds behind Electric Forest and Vertex Music Festival.

On his way to a performance at Head for the Hills festival in Kerrville, Texas, two vehicles, including Alvarado’s, were involved in a collision with an 18-wheeler on Texas Interstate 10. One other individual was killed.

Pumpkin’s unique sound transcended genres, unafraid to mix pop vocals with a spiritually-influenced house, his music resonated with friends and artists alike.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Nick’s friends, family, and fans at this time. Rest in Paradise Nick, knowing that your music touched the lives of many!
