Axwell Drops First Solo Single in 3 Years [LISTEN]
Former Swedish House Mafia members, Axel Christofer Hedfors aka Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso are keeping fans on their toes, releasing solo tunes aside from their project as the powerhouse duo, Axwell /\ Ingrosso.
It started when Ingrosso dropped "Flags!" in collaboration with LIOHN and Salvatore two weeks ago. It was the first tune he's released as a solo artist in two years, and it was nothing like what we were expecting. Read more about the track with its booty style breakbeats and snarling bass here.
Now, Axwell has released his own single, the first solo track we've heard from the Swedish icon in three years. The last single from the Axtone boss was his 2013 "Center of the Universe."
The new mainstage-ready track, entitled "Barricade," features his signature melodic-driven, heart-pounding production. While it's more what we'd expect from a former Swedish House Mafia member, the transitions and bridge showcase some experimentation.
