The Chainsmokers Brought out the Best Guests of Coachella [WATCH]
Coachella weekend one is officially a wrap! Going out with a bang, the third and final day brought a heavy lineup including one of dance music's hottest duos right now, The Chainsmokers. The NY-based took the Sahara Tent stage at 8:30pm, drawing one of the biggest crowds of the festival.
Debuting a three-tiered LED rig and bringing a jaw-dropping roster of special guests, The Chainsmokers' set ranked among the top highlights of the entire weekend.
The duo warmed up the crowd with a teaser of their hit song "Roses" before launching into their 50 minute set full of original, timeless throwbacks and plenty of special guests.
G-Eazy came out to perform "Me, Myself & I" (and battled mic troubles), and Tiësto joined for "Split (Only U)," while singers ROZES and Daya were invited to sing "Roses" and "Don't Let Me Down."
But the real surprise was the moment Andrew Taggart introduced Stephan Jenkins lead singer of the popular 90s band Third Eye Blind. Jenkins had the whole crowd belting with his performance of their 1997 classic "Jumper." Shortly after, members of Walk the Moon appeared to deliver a rendition of "Shut Up and Dance."
To top it all off, the audience was treated to the premiere of brand new song from The Chainsmokers which featured live vocals from Taggart himself!
It's safe to say that The Chainsmokers worked the crowd harder than any other headliner Sunday night, and all of their peers were their to witness it including, Martin Garrix, DJ Snake, Snails and more who were spotted at the set.
I'm a storyteller at heart, and music makes my world go round.
