Tiesto is Turning His Back on Trance With the Announcement of His New Label
Tiësto has built a name for himself as a living Trance legend, introducing millions of people across the globe to the world of dance music.
But that doesn’t mean the man doesn’t like to dabble in different genres…
Yesterday the Dutch native announced his brand new label AFTR:HRS which will feature deep house releases.
Tiësto took to Twitter to promote the label announcement:
The first release by artist Danny Howard debuted exclusively on BBC Radio1 yesterday morning prior to a full release.
Stemming from the heyday of the Chicago House scene in the late 1980s, Deep House has made a major comeback in the last several years. With the often mislabeled popularity of Disclosure and Future House artists Oliver Heldens and Tchaimi, Deep House has gained broader appeal with EDM audiences.
With Deep House artists currently pumping throughout darkly lit nightclubs throughout the world, we’re curious to hear Tiësto’s curation on the long surviving genre.
Cut my teeth with the Detroit techno scene before moving to Denver to see what the mountains have to offer.
