deadmau5 played his newest single "Snowcone" for the first time live at Free Press Summer Music Festival in Houston, TX this past weekend. The chilled out, downtempo/trip hop single, which dropped last month, was the first official release from the mau5trap boss in two years. Check out the live debut of the track in the fan-captured video below.

The outspoken producer also recently teased his brand new stage design, cubev2, by sharing prototype videos of the new cube in VR to Instagram. The new stage is a intended to be the 2.0 version of his iconic cube stage from the 2010 tour for his album 4×4=12.

"I’m only really looking to hopefully spend 2 million ish to get the cube show ‘upgraded’... should be enough to do some cool shit!" Joel wrote on Twitter. In one of the Instagram posts teasing the new cube, however, he's now decided it's going to be "Possibly the coolest shit in the world."
