Chance the Rapper Taps Skrillex, Lil Wayne & More for New Fest
Last month, Chance the Rapper announced his Magnificent Coloring World Tour to support his Coloring Book mixtape, which is already predicted to be one of the first Grammy nominations for streaming-only music. It turns out that the TBD slot on the tour calendar was for a brand new festival in his hometown of Chicago.
Chance the Rapper's Magnificent Coloring Day festival will be the first ever event of its kind at the U.S. Cellular Field stadium in Chicago, according to The Chicago Tribune. And Chance may have just ensured his festival's success with the announcement of headliners Skrillex, Lil Wayne, 2Chainz, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Young Thug, Tyler the Creator and Lil Uzi Vert.
The new festival will take place on September 24th, and tickets and additional info will soon be available on Chance's website.
Chance the Rapper and Skrillex recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, during which they remixed Colbert's monologue on a new cereal before performing "Show Me Love" with Hundred Waters.
