Joel Zimmerman is making sure 2016 proves to be a big year for mau5 fans. His new album is "pretty much" finished and will likely get a specific release date soon. And this past weekend, deadmau5 debuted his new live set up at Veld Festival in Toronto.

Dubbed cube 2.0 by fans, the new stage design reportedly costs $2 million and required three trucks to haul to the festival grounds. Taking his former designs to a whole level, the live set up offers exciting new visuals including fully-mobile, music-reactive panels. What fans saw at Veld is just the beginning, too, as Joel is promising additions and enhancements over the next several months.

In addition to deadmau5, Veld Festival celebrated its 5th year with headliners The Chainsmokers, Flume, Martin Garrix, Kygo, Steve Aoki, ATTLAS and many more. Check out some of the fan-captured photos and video from deadmau5's set with the new cube below...

Probably one of my favourite/best pictures I took of the festival. Was so happy to see #deadmau5 after 4 long years.
