Highest Paid DJs: Forbes Releases 2016 Electronic Cash Kings List
Forbes just released its annual Electronic Cash Kings list ranking the highest paid DJs of the year. Topping the 2016 list was - to no big surprise - Calvin Harris. Despite being down $3 million in income this year, the DJ superstar pulled in a whopping $63 million. This means that Calvin Harris is the highest paid DJ in the world, four years running!
Landing near the top as the second highest paid DJ in the world is Dutch veteran Tiësto with $38 million, followed by French DJ David Guetta with $28 million. Zedd came in at number four ahead of Steve Aoki with $24.5 million while Diplo came right in front of Skrillex with $23 million. Kaskade, Martin Garrix and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike rounded out the top 10 highest paid DJs with $19 million, $16 million and $15.5 million.
The collective earnings of the top 10 cash kings is $270.5 million, which - according to Forbes - revealed itself to be the first time since 2012 that the number has gone down year over year.
