Electric Forest May Be Expanding to 2 Weekends in 2017
Electric Forest quickly went from regional jam retreat to one of the most popular music festivals in the country.
The annual festival which hosts 40,000 music fans in Rothbury, Michigan each June is reportedly expanding into 2 weekends.
Although there has been no confirmation from the EF camp, The Festive Owl reports that the festival has submitted permits to expand the event into two separate weekends.
The Festive Owl also notes that the permits suggest that each weekend would reduce in individual event capacity, but would increase attendance across both weekends.
Earlier this year, Electric Forest confirmed that Bassnectar would become the festival's official resident. For the past six years, The String Cheese Incident has also played host with three performances throughout the four day event.
This summer's Electric Forest featured performances from Adventure Club, Bassnectar, Getter, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Griz, and many more.
