DJ Pierre Opens New "Underground Only" Venue in Atlanta

DJ Pierre has recently announced that he has opened an "underground" nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia.

DJ Pierre who is often considered one of the leading figures in acid house, has decided to give back to the scene by opening a new "underground only" nightclub called WildPitch.

Focusing on bringing back the the local house and techno vibes, DJ Pierre took to Instagram to share his thoughts about the club opening.

When I moved to #atlanta I was asked why don't the #housemusic #artist who live here support the local scene? I said I would and I've put my money where my mouth is with the opening of @wildpitch_atl Now my question to #ATL is, Are YOU going to support your local scene by supporting the artist & DJ's of Atlanta's 1st #Housemusic #techno #acidhouse #EDM #Artist owned club? The housemusic culture was built on the foundation of a strong love and loyalty to this music. If you feel the same and are dedicated to this amazing community which stretches across the globe then Wildpitch is your home. Straight, Gay, white, black, no matter what religious beliefs My House is your House, Now Let us House you! ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿพ We Are WildPitch! Taking back our music one weekend at a time!! ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿพ

As an artist-owned endeavor, DJ Pierre hopes to curate artists that will help to cultivate a house and techno scene in Atlanta. With a world-class DJ at the helm, WildPitch promises stellar sound with its D.A.S. system.

MixMag reports that the club has clear intentions for the atmosphere: "egos are left at the door and positive vibes reign".
