After a Successful Comeback in 2016, Electric Zoo Looks East

Electric Zoo has announced that it is soon expanding its event brand to China.

On November 12th, Electric Zoo will hold a one-day festival event in Shanghai, China. In collaboration with Asian music service Kanjian, the new Chinese event will feature commissioned art, as well as the Octopus stage that made its appearance at Electric Zoo in New York this past Labor Day.

Electric Zoo: Countdown to Shanghai follows a similar eastward expansion as fellow electronic event brands Ultra and Insomniac. While Insomniac recently announced EDM India, Ultra just wrapped up 8 events across Asia including Korea, Japan, Singapore, Bali, etc.

Adam Richman, the SVP of Made Event-New York and director of Electric Zoo at SFX Entertainment, Inc. had this to say:

“Electric Zoo Countdown is the perfect introduction of our brand to China and will be the stepping stone to bigger editions of Electric Zoo throughout Asia..."

Electric Zoo has previously held events in both Mexico and Japan.
