The Black Madonna Drops Groovy Single "He Is The Voice I Hear"
The Black Madonna is making a triumphant return this week as she releases her first fully original production since 2013's Lady Of Sorrows EP. Titled "He Is The Voice I Hear," the new track shines with an organic edge thanks to contributions from featured instrumentalists Davide Rossi and Christoforo LaBarbera on strings and keyboard.
"He Is The Voice I Hear" arrives as an epic production clocking in at ten and a half minutes long. The song opens with a pastoral introduction, led by a haunting piano passage before ominous strings and electronic percussion join the mix. As the composition progresses, retro synth bass sequences are layered over steady driving disco rhythms, providing a solid foundation for the instrumental performances.
In a quote, The Black Madonna explained the lengthy break between the release of her last EP and the new song, before revealing that it has been her dream to work with a live ensemble.
"I have always felt, where making
records was concerned, that it was better to say nothing than to rush
and put out a lot of music that didn’t say much at all.
But now it’s time to share something
with you that has been the most exciting project I’ve ever worked on.
“He Is The Voice I Hear” is my first all new work since Lady Of
Sorrows. It’s been a long journey from there to here.
I’m so thrilled to continue the story and finally realize my dream of bringing together an ensemble of live musicians."
With a captivating blend of electro, disco and classical music, "He Is The Voice I Hear" marks a strong come back for the prolific DJ. Give a listen below, and head here to grab your own copy.
