Diplo And AutoErotique Team Up On Bass Heavy Collab "Waist Time"
Dance music's busiest tastemaker Diplo has a new collaboration out this week with AutoErotique titled "Waist Line." The two producers had previously joined forces in 2015 on Major Lazer's "The Sound," and their newest outing together follows in the same vein with a rocking bass house production.
Diplo and AutoErotique's latest pair up arrives as a scorching dancefloor anthem, centered around the clever lyric "Girl, work your waist line to the bassline." The tune kicks off with a steady house intro, setting up the listener for the low end madness that is set to ensue. After a head spinning build up, the two producers work their magic with an explosive drop as metallic wobble bass riffs intersect the persistent pounding of the drums.
A new music video has been unveiled alongside the single, featuring several dancers gyrating with light-up hula hoops, at times shot from the perspective of the hoops themselves. It's a simple but eye catching concept that ties in to the source material perfectly.
All in all, Diplo and AutoErotique's new tune is a solid footwork romp and a worthy follow up to "The Sound." Check out the video for "Waist Time" below.
