Insomniac Announces Cancelation of EDC UK [STATEMENT]

Insomniac has just put out an announcement today that EDC UK will be canceled for this year. If you already have a ticket, don't worry. There will be a refund issued to every person who has already purchased a ticket. The following statement was released on their website today:

"Thank you for your support of EDC UK. Our plans to grow and improve the festival at Milton Keynes have not developed as we had hoped, and we are not going to be able to stage EDC UK this July in a manner that meets all of our high expectations. As a result, we are indefinitely postponing the show until we can properly reimagine all areas of the experience. We apologize for the inconvenience we know this causes, and we thank you for your understanding."

The 2017 EDC UK would have been the 4th annual event, as the festival first expanded to England in 2013. The news about EDC UK comes a little over a month after founder Pasquale Rotella gave his year-end address revealing what to expect from Insomniac in 2017. It was during this letter that he announced EDC New York would be taking a year off.

"Although EDC New York 2016 was one of my favourites hosted in the Big Apple, we’ve decided to take a break in 2017. We hope many of you East Coast Headliners will join us in Vegas. We’ll have an art car sound system paying homage to New York DJs past and present."

If you were planning on heading to the Kinetic Field in the UK or NY, maybe it's time to start looking at a trip to Vegas? And if you already purchased your ticket to EDC UK make sure to get information on refunding your purchase here.
