Watch Out for Mega-Talented Up-and-Coming DJ, Whethan
If you've yet to check out Whethan, get ready for a treat because this 17-year-old DJ is taking the electronic music world by storm.
Whethan, real name Ethan Snoreck, first began releasing remixes and edits on SoundCloud two years ago. By the age of 16, he was recognized as the youngest producer to ever release a record on Australia’s renowned electronic music label, Future Classic.
The young talent broke the mold with his remix of Mssingo’s track "XE3," which garnered nearly 8 million streams on SoundCloud. Not only did he captivate millions of music lovers, but he also caught the ear of megastar DJ and owner of OWSLA, Skrillex.
Most recently, the young producer and Chicago native released an original single titled "Can’t Hide" as well as collabs with artists Oliver Tree and even Flux Pavilion. In Fact, "Savage" (feat. Flux Pavilion & MAX) served as the inspiration for the name of his first ever tour, which will kick off on January 26th with a show in Virginia Beach and conclude at BUKU Music and Arts Festival on March 10th.
So what's next for Whethan? He'll be hitting the books as a high school junior by day, and taking the stage at some of the biggest music festivals by night. A perfect candidate for Skrillex's next protégé, this 17-year-old is quickly showing enough talent and ambition to make a mark.
