Tomorrowland Announces First Wave of Artists for 2017 Festival [WATCH]
Tomorowland's flagship event will return to Belgium for two weekends in July, and fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the 2017 lineup.
A couple of weeks ago, the anticipation began to bubble over when the minds behind one of the biggest festivals in the world announced this year's official theme as well as the 2017 stages and hosts.
In 2015 it was "The Secret Kingdom Of Melodia." The following year it was "The Elixir Of Life." This year it's... "Amicorum Spectaculum." The theme of the 2017 Tomorrowland, which in Latin roughly translates to a "spectacle of friends," bears an old-timey carnival asethetic complete with ferris wheels, circus tents, trapeze artists, fortune telling and other imagery from the bygone era of traveling shows.
When announcing the 2017 stages, Tomorrowland revealed first-time hosts including Monstercat, Martin Garrix's STMPD RCRDS and Claptone, among others.
And now the news that fans have been waiting for has arrived...
This morning, Tomorrowland unveiled the first wave of the artists appearing on the 2017 lineup. Tarot cards flying into view in a lineup announcement video revealed 23 artists that would be gracing the stages at this year's big event.
Without further ado, here are the first artists to be announced as 2017 Tomorrowland performers in alphabetical order:
Armin van Buuren
Axwell /\ Ingrosso
Paul van Dyk
Sub Zero Project
