Afrojack Drops Rowdy Trap Collaboration "Diamonds" With Jay Karama
Afrojack has released a new single this weekend via his Wall Recordings imprint, teaming up with Australian DJ Jay Karama for a rowdy collaboration. The new track, titled "Diamonds," sees the Dutch producer expanding his sonic horizons with a foray into hard hitting trap.
"Diamonds" kicks off with an ominous introduction, complete with twinkling arpeggios, dark strings and drums that slowly grow in intensity. Afrojack and Jay Karama begin to work up the energy with frantic snare rushes and distorted vocal samples, before quickly moving into the first drop. Booming sub bass then takes over, coupled with screeching sirens and chugging synth riffs that converge to form a blistering trap workout.
The new tune definitely hits hard in all the right places and is sure to cause a frenzy on the dancefloors. It's always interesting to see producers moving away from their comfort zones, and Afrojack proves his worth outside of his usual house hallmarks on the new collaboration.
With a solid production and some truly fierce rhythms, the two producers deliver a monster of a tune that's primed for the mainstage crowds. Take a listen to "Diamonds" below, and head here to grab your own copy.
