Dion Timmer Branches Out WIth Melodic Trap Effort "Lost"

Dion Timmer is back this weekend to offer up a new single via Monstercat. The producer's latest release sees him deviating from his usual dubstep material with a refined trap outing titled "Lost."

Dion Timmer began attracting serious attention late last year when he was featured on a total of five cuts from Excision's latest album Virus. Getting that kind of support from one of dubstep's top producers is quite the pedigree, but Timmer has the goods to back it up, a fact made very clear on "Lost."

Taking a few cues from artists like San Holo and Marshmello, Dion Timmer delivers a forward thinking trap cut with his latest single. Eschewing the aggressive nature of his dubstep work, "Lost" leads with soothing vocal chops, upbeat 808 rhythms and soaring synth melodies. Over a span of four minutes, the producer dishes up fluttery chords and easy going vibes, before bringing the piece to a close with a pristine bell motif.

The ability to transition seamlessly from genre to genre is the mark of a skilled producer, and Dion Timmer's latest effort cements him as an artist to keep an eye on.
