Deadmau5 Will Release His Next Album Next Month

It's only been about a month since deadmau5 dropped his latest record W:/2016Album, but the outspoken musician is already gearing up for his next release. Taking to Twitter over the weekend, the mau5trap head honcho revealed that his next LP, dubbed stuff i used to do, will arrive in February.

Deadmau5 first revealed the stuff i used to do concept back in December, which is set to feature twenty remastered tracks that he produced between 1998 and 2007. The compilation will likely sound quite different from the signature mau5 sound we've come to expect from him, with older albums like Get Scraped and Vexilology giving some hint as to the sort of material that will surface on the upcoming release.

The Tweet includes what appears to be the album art for the upcoming compilation, which you can check out below.

In addition to stuff i used to do, deadmau5 announced at the tail end of 2016 that he would likely begin work on his next record in late January. It's not clear from the Tweet itself, but judging from the timing alone, it's possible that we're dealing with two separate albums here.

Between deadmau5's new residency with BBC Radio 1, the compilation album, the upcoming Lots Of Shows In A Row tour and a possible new LP, 2017 is already shaping up to be a prolific year for the Canadian musician.
