Pharrell is Going to Produce a Rave Themed Horror Movie

Pharrell Williams is trying his hand at filmmaking.

He's an award winning producer, musician, business owner and fashion mogul. If that's not enough to keep him busy, Pharrell Williams has taken on another project to fill up his time. His latest project will be producing a horror film called Survive the Night.

The movie is based on a popular novel by Danielle Vega.  To help him in making the movie, Williams has teamed up with writer Tracy Oliver and Mimi Valdes.  The latter is Williams' partner in his company, I Am Other.

The premise of the film sounds fairly simple.  College students go to a Halloween themed rave and while there, they are trapped inside with a killer amongst them.  Not much else is known about the film at this time, but I'm sure that details about the film will leak the closer they get to filming the project.

While this is not the first time Pharrell has been involved in film projects (Hidden Figures and Dope being two other movies he's worked on), it sounds like he will be the most involved with Survive the Night.

How do you guys feel about a horror movie about a rave gone wrong? We've seen others try to make films about dance music and rave culture, but many seem to miss the mark. Will Pharrell make an EDM themed horror movie that we can all be proud of?
