Tchami and Dillon Francis Get Remix Compilations, Illenium Blesses us With Piano Covers, & Other Releases for the Holidays

Welcome back to Word of Mouth, where we grace your ears with the best tracks released this week. This week is chalk full of quality content. Get ready to construct your holiday weekend playlist with releases from some of the top artists in the dance music scene.

Awake (Piano Covers) - Illenium

Ready to get back in your feels? Just a few months ago, Illenium released his sophomore album, Awake. The record included massive collaborations with Said the Sky, Daya, and a slew of others that were downright impressive. Soon thereafter, he embarked on a nationwide tour with Said the Sky, Dabin, and Echoes. Now, he’s released piano covers of a few of the hits off of Awake. “Fractures”, “Crawl Outta Love”, and “Beautiful Creatures” all have found themselves being remade into arguable more emotional tunes.

World To Me Remix EP - Tchami

Our favorite future house priest has delivered his latest sermon. Hot off his back to back tour with Malaa, Tchami has compiled an EP of remixes for his 2017 hit, “World To Me”. Featuring remixes from Cazztek, Dillon Nathaniel, MK, and an impressive list of others, the mastermind behind CONFESSION has once again brought us addicting tunes that we’ll have bumping all night long.

Hello There (The Remixes) - Dillon Francis

Can you believe the year Dillon Francis has had? He’s captured what we’d call a career year, unleashing huge collaborations with Flosstradamus, NGHTMRE, and G-Eazy. His collab with Yung Pinch, “Hello There”, has become a hit as well. Before he takes over 2018 with his Spanish-language album, he’s closing out the year with a remix EP for the aforementioned single. Enlisting the help of ETC! ETC!, Rude Kid, Generik, and a few others, these renditions of the killer track are a must listen.

Excision’s Lost Lands 2017 Set - Day 1

That's right folks, Lost Lands 2017 isn’t over yet. Whether you attended or not, you’ll be able to break your neck from home now that Excision has unleashed his full set from day 1. The man is one of the most successful artist of this year. The first iteration of his inaugural festival was a hit, as was his remix album that dropped in early September. Without a doubt, this is a basshead's dream come true.

Disconnected VIP - Pegboard Nerds

Are you ready nerds? Fresh off their collaboration with Krewella, Pegboard Nerds has dropped an absolutely bonkers VIP of their banger, “Disconnected”. The tune first released in 2012 on Monstercat, and the Danish-Norwegian duo has been on the up and up ever since. The latest rendition goes much harder than the original, and features phenomenal vocals from singer/songwriter Desirée Dawson. These two have impressed yet again, don’t miss out on the fun.

Blockbuster - Herobust

The Atlanta based producer is finishing up his latest tour, but the fun is just getting started. Since the release of his Vertebreaker EP last year, Herobust has seen immense success. He’s dropped huge singles, such as “Giant Squiddim” and “Debt N’ Eight”, that have seen plenty of support since their release. His latest track, “Blockbuster”, will follow the same trend. Featuring his signature vocals, Hayden Kramer has once again given us a tune to break our necks to.

Lying & Loving feat. Mothica - Electric Mantis

The Portland-based DJ/producer, Electric Mantis, has gifted us another feelsy track to take us through the holidays. 2017 was a good year for the Alaskan, who remixed Mija and Vindata’s hit single, “Better”. Alongside his thrilling remix, Electric Mantis has released a few substantial tunes, including “The One”. “Lying & Loving” continues this trend, and has us excited to see what he’ll bring to the table in 2018.
