Mija Teases New Project 'AMBER' For 2018

Mija is gearing up to make some major moves in 2018 as she announces that she will be focusing on releasing new music. Taking to social media today, the genre crossing DJ teased what appears to be a new side project that will debut in the new year.

When Mija, real name Amber Giles, first appeared on the scene, she primarily made her mark as a DJ. However, she has gradually shifted her focus to include more production work in recent memory.

She began hinting at her new direction back in November with the release of "Bad For U" with Kelli Schaefer, which serves as the debut single from her forthcoming EP titled How To Measure The Distance Between Lovers.

With her latest announcement, it looks like we're in store for more original material in 2018. In her Tweet, Mija hints at a new project called AMBER, which will focus on production and songwriting.

Check out the full announcement below.

Earlier in the week, Mija surprised fans with a stunning cover of Radiohead's 1998 song "No Surprises," handling the vocal duties herself. If it's any indication of what we can expect from AMBER, we have good reason to be excited for 2018.
