Avicii Dips His Fingers Into the Gaming Industry With PS4 Game 'INVECTOR'
If you thought you'd seen everything from Avicii in 2017, then think again. Swedish superstar DJ and producer teamed up with Hello There Games and PlayStation for the new PS4 game INVECTOR.
Just a few months after the success of his new EP AVĪCI (01), Tim Bergling, aka Avicii is back with a bit unusual role. In partnership with PlayStation and Hello There Games, a Gothenburg-based gaming company, he released a new rhythm game. INVECTOR contains a library of 22 Avicii’s songs from all phases of his career, from the "Levels" to "Lovely Together" and "Without You." The game also includes visuals inspired by Avicii's live shows.
INVECTOR's main character Stella, Collector Pilot H45H1M - is on a mission of gathering colorful fragments spread across the universe. Of course, her ships keeps breaking down. But enough talk, check the game trailer below.
“It’s taken two years of development, and now INVECTOR is finally here. It’s going to be a brand-new way to experience my music. As a dedicated gamer, I really feel excited to be a part of creating a new game for the market,” says Tim Bergling (Avicii).
This is not the first time Avicii and Hello There Games worked together, previously releasing mobile music game AVICII/GRAVITY, which was a huge success. Oskar Eklund, CEO of Hello There Games says:
“It’s a fantastic feeling to finally release INVECTOR. We’re really hoping players will take it to heart and love it as much as we do.”
Hello There Games is founded in 2009. The studio is also responsible for games such as Kung Fury: Street Rage, SkillTwins Football Game, but have also worked with several global brands - generating more than 25 million downloads.
