Peter Griffin Takes on the DJ World in the Latest Episode of Family Guy

Even Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane isn't immune to the cultural significance of dance music.

Much like The Simpsons, Family Guy has always used cultural staples as fodder for comedy gold. In the most recent episode titled "Peter's Def Jam", Peter Griffin, Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe accidentally stumble into the world of dance music after a failed podcast turns into a mashup of obscure sounds that draws the attention of a local club promoter.

After DJ Peter and company take the decks at Rhode Rave, the club promoter pulls him aside for a one-liner that is demonstrative of the current state of electronic music:

Promoter: You've been playing the exact same song for 14 hours. That means you're great! I was right about you guys!
