Lane 8 Links Up With Kidnap Kid On New Collab "Aba"
Lane 8 and Kidnap Kid have teamed up on a new collaboration titled "Aba." Fans had previously become familiar with the tune when it began popping up in Lane 8's live sets, leaving them hungry for an official release. The wait is finally over with the collaboration arriving on Anjunadeep over the weekend.
On "Aba," Lane 8 and Kidnap Kid offer up deep layers of serene synths, holding off on the percussion for an extended intro. As the two producers craft a warm chord progression, they work in minimalistic four on the floor rhythms that slowly evolve over the track's lengthy time frame. Choral chants are then introduced as the song reaches its energetic peak, filling out the sound waves to euphoric effect.
In a quote, Kidnap Kid talked about working with Lane 8 and his excitement over the finished product.
"I’ve been a big admirer of Dan’s music for a long time so I’m really happy we’ve been able to work on a track together. I think we found a really nice middle ground between our two styles and it came out sounding great."
Lane 8 and Kidnap Kid deliver a captivating tune on "Aba," mixing dreamy synths and churning rhythms to satisfying results.
