Has Fall Out Boy Just Gone Full-EDM?
Chicago alternative rock heroes Fall Out Boy have just released their new single "Young and Menace." The song comes with the official video directed by SCANTRON and Mel Soria.
"Young and Menace" represents the new direction of Fall Out Boy’s sound, heavily influenced by EDM instead of their classic post-hardcore, emo, and alternative rock elements. The song will be a part of their new record M A N I A, which will be out on September 15th via Island Records.
This is not the first time Fall Out Boy have dipped their fingers into the electronic music. In 2015 band released Make America Psycho Again, the remix album of their latest record American Beauty/American Psycho. Also vocalist Partick Stump and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker both appeared on track ‘Dancing With the Devil’ from Krewella’s 2013 LP Get Wet.
In support of their new record, Fall Out Boy will start their M A N I A Tour in the US on October 20th. One dollar from every ticket sold will go to the Fall Out Boy Fund, benefiting charities throughout Chicago. You can see the tour dates below.
