Celebrate Martin Garrix's 21st Birthday with a Round Up of the Greatest Hits [LISTEN]
Took Martin Garrix awhile, but he is finally able to exchange his water bottle for a beer during his set. The Dutch DJ has come a long way from playing at his high school prom to headlining major festivals in the world.
It’s hard to pick a top 10 from any Martin Garrix’s songs. When he first got signed with Spinnin he produced a lot of big room to progressive house, but in 2016 he launched his own record label STMPD, and since then have been producing various genres of tracks under it.
Scared to Be Lonely – 2017
Future bass is not going anywhere, "Scared to Be Lonely" is Martin’s take on one of the most popular EDM genre today. Dua Lipa’s strong and soulful vocals give the track a great dynamics.
In the Name of Love – 2016
Performed on stage at MTV VMAs and Jimmy Fallon, this track is far from hard-hitting and brash big room that Martin used to do. However, it is the track that put him under Billboard 100 again after "Animals."
Now That I’ve Found You – 2016
An uplifting track that features John Martin, best known from the Grammy-nominated Swedish House Mafia’s "Don’t You Worry Child." This track is a big one because it is the first single that came out of Martin’s own records, STMPD.
Don’t Look Down – 2015
The bright percussion with a steady yet massive drums kicks and singable chorus made "Don’t Look Down" a go-to track for every summer festival that year.
Forbidden Voices – 2015
So far the dreamiest anthem from Martin as he uses softer sounds with hella cute voice cuts. This is the track that we can see how he slowly explores out of his hard hitting big room tracks.
The Only Way is Up – 2015
Not a lot of 19 years old have the opportunity to film a music video in Miami, played in front of thousands of crowds at Ultra while also making music with their idol. "The Only Way is Up" is one of the crucial track from Martin as he collaborates with Tiësto, one of the DJ who inspired him to make electronic music in the first place.
Virus – 2014
Synths, synths, synths! Virus is a great example of a track that goes hard with smooth and sweet synths.
Tremor – 2014
Teamed up with big room duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tremor still dominates today’s festival as it is designed to get thousands of people to jump and stomp their feet.
Wizard – 2013
The more aggressive version of synths than "Animals". Collaborating with Jay Hardway, "Wizard "is a successful follow-up of "Animals." The melody is so memorable that even if it played at today’s festival everyone will know that this is Martin’s "Wizard."
Animals – 2013
This. This is the track that catapulted the 17 years old name to the rest of the world. You can be a trance DJ or even a Trap DJ, if you play this track in any festival, the crowd will go insane.
