YehMe2 Remixes Ruth B as part of “Beat-A-Day Part II” Challenge [LISTEN]

YehMe2, more popularly known as Josh from Flosstradamus, is powering his solo career by releasing one new track a day as part of his “Beat-A-Day Part II” Challenge.

Each day this month, YehMe2 is dropping one new song on his social media accounts in rotatio, each day of May leading up to his the release of his 2nd mixtape, Steal This Mixtape 2, which will be out June 1st.

Every week, YehMe2 puts a new single up on SoundCloud, this past Thursday uploading a bootleg of Ruth B’s "Lost Boy". The melodic remix leads with Ruth B’s light vocals that recall the adventures of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys in Neverland, building into a classic Floss-reminiscent first drop, which the sweet vocals carry, maintaining harmony. The second drop sounds more like future bass, with Ruth B’s lyrics keeping the track airy throughout.

Ruth B became popular via Vine (RIP), and received a lot of acclaim for this sweet, short ode to Peter Pan called “Peter’s Note," which undeniably influenced the theme of “Lost Boy”.

YehMe2 has been remixing a variety of artists for his “Beat-A-Day Part II” Challenge, including Kendrick Lamar. You can check clips of every track so far on his Instagram and check other Steal This Mixtape 2 tracks "gimme gimme (DNA flip)" and "ily2" below.
