Marcus Intalex AKA Trevino Has Passed Away
Marcus Kaye, drum and bass producer and DJ from Manchester, better known under his moniker Marcus Intalex has passed away. The cause of death is still unknown.
Marcus Intalex was one of the pioneers of British drum and bass scene, and one of it’s most important names, especially in the early years. He was owner of label Soul:r, but also released for labels such as Metalheadz, Ingredients, and Exit Records.
His most notable releases are 2007 record FabricLive.35, 2011 record 21 which celebrated 21 years of his career. In the same year he created moniker Trevino to explore more of the house and techno genres.
His influence on the scene itself was immense, and many drum and bass artist such as Chase & Status, Andy C, Audio, Roni Size, Bodika, Friction, DJ Zinc, Fabio & Grooverider, High Contrast, and many others took their time to make a tribute on their socials.
It's an unfortunate loss for the dance music community and our thoughts and sympathies go out to his Marcus' friends, families, and loved ones.
