Oshi Drops New Single and Music Video "Heal You" [LISTEN]
LA-based bass prodigy Oshi has just released a single and an accompanying music video from his forthcoming debut EP via ArtClub International. “Heal You” utilizes vocals from UK singer and rapper Courtney Bennett and Oshi’s classic future-y synths.
Oshi has been remixing classics and dropping singles alike on his SoundCloud since 2015 (see my favorites “separated”, “kali uchis - ridin round ft. tory lanez (oshi redo)”, “Snakehips & MO - Don’t Leave (Oshi Remix)” and Sober Rob’s “Lost w/ oshi”). Now the young vibey producer is approaching the next phase in his career– dropping his highly-anticipated EP.
At 17, the now 19-year-old became the youngest person to ever play a Boiler Room set, and over time, has progressively become known for his signature combination of mood-infused synths and soul-searching vocals as well as his distinct ability to breathe new life into original tracks.
The music video for “Heal You” pays homage to one of Oshi’s favorite movies– “Back to the Future Part II”. In it, Oshi swags out in some Nike Air Mags with a hoverboard and DeLorean, driving around LA, flashes of the neon-lit city perfectly complement his futuristic sound, synth-laden and vibey. “I’ve always been a huge fan of 80s movies and the back to the future series is one of my favorites. It was fun acting parts of it out, especially to a song that has both throwback and futuristic elements to it. also make sure to look at my face in the video because I think it’s hilarious.” says Oshi.
I like that good hauz and that good bazz
