Summer is coming (June 20th) and there seems to be endless choices to spend your summer dancing till the sun goes down and the summer nights begin. From popular festival destinations on the beach side to the clear desert sky, this list is here to narrow down the best places around the world to get your EDM-fix this Summer!


1. Halfmoon Festival In Koh Phangan, Thailand (Jun 2)

This extremely popular festival is held twice a month, a week before and after the Full Moon Festival, on the beautiful island of Koh Pha Ngan. Featuring three stages that range different styles from House and Trance to Vocal and Hip-Hop, the Halfmoon festival is an excellent summer dance music vacation choice. Although it is not as big as your mainstream festival, people from all around the world travel every year just to attend this tropical island event, so don’t miss out!


2. Spring Awakening In Chicago, Illinois (Jun 9-11)

The SAMF event is the perfect EDC-Chicago alternative that boasts big name dance artists, five aesthetic stages, firework shows and carnival rides. Held in Addams-Medill Park, the three day event is a festival you cannot turn down if you plan to spend your summer dancing in Chicago! A few headliners performing this year to name are Armin van Buuren, Headhunterz, Lane 8, Alan Walker and Alesso.


3. Sónar Music Festival In Barcelona, Spain (June 15-17)

Since it’s start in 1994, Sónar Music Festival has grown to become one of Spain's largest electronic dance festivals that features DJs both from around the world and local. It was nominated at the UK Festival Awards for Best Overseas Festival and Won the DJ Awards Special Award for Outstanding Contribution. If the alluring seaside capital of Spain already sounds like a great summer vacation destination, then Sónar Music Festival In Barcelona is where you want to be to dance your summer nights away.


4. Electric Daisy Carnival In Las Vegas, Nevada (Jun 16-18)

Arguably one of the largest electronic dance festivals in the world, Insomniac’s three-day flagship festival has relocated from Los Angeles county and is now held every year in Nevada’s City of Sin. With attendees treated as the ‘headliners’, firework shows and carnival rides, and big name dance music DJ’s performing every year at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, think EDC Vegas for your next unforgettable dance music summer destination! Tickets commonly sell out in a matter of minutes, so you know this event lives up to its global hype.


5. Awakenings Festival In Amsterdam, Netherlands (June 24-25)

The Dutch techno brand is held in the beautiful forest of Spaarnwoude and is one of Europe’s most well known electronic festival events. It is often labeled as the largest outdoor techno festival in the world and has recently won the DJ Awards Special Award for Best Festival. With over a hundred artists performing across 8 stages and the number of attendees getting larger every year, it would be a no-brainer to add this to your summer festival bucket list.


6. Hideout Music Festival In Zrce Beach, Croatia (Jun 26-30)

After being mentioned in a list of 2011 Best Festivals for the UK newspaper The Guardian, this music festival has since then grown from hiding to become one of the largest festivals in Europe! It has sold out every year since then and is now boasted the largest electronic festival in Croatia. Sitting on the Zrce beachside on the Island of Pag with stunning mountain and oceanside views on every turn, you may want to consider traveling to Croatia for your next summer EDM getaway. In addition, your admission ticket grants you access to the pool pre-parties that make up this five day event.


7. Parookaville In Weeze, Germany (Jul 21-23)

Can't make it to Tomorrowland? Well, Parookaville might be the next best thing as the fictitious dance music city ushers in it's third edition with an expected 80,000 fans. With 9 different stages hitting every major genre in electronic dance music, Parookaville is quickly becoming one of the world's finest festivals. With Armin, Tiësto, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, David Guetta, and pretty much any other DJ you can think of, Parookaville is certainly a force to be reckoned with in the festival world.


8. Untold Festival In Cluj-Napoca, Romania (Aug 3-6)

The Untold Festival is a four day event that has been labeled as the largest festival in Romania and was chosen as “Best Major Festival” in the 2015 European Festival Awards. Spanning 10 stages with thousands of local and international attendees and an irresistible lineup each year, this event is another absolute must-attend summer choice! This year will mark their “Third Chapter” and will feature dance worthy talents like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sander van Doorn, Ellie Goulding, Hardwell, Dillon Francis and Marshmello.


9. Creamfields In Cheshire, England (Aug 24-27)

This event is the staple of the international dance brand Cream and has been voted the #1 dance festival in the United Kingdom! Held in the northwest part of England, the four-day event attracts thousands of attendees from around the world and bears a variety of superstar dance music talents every year. Simply one of the best destinations for EDM this summer, Creamfields could not escape this featured list! This years lineup is sure to not disappoint with featured talents like Diplo, Above & Beyond, Deadmau5, Pete Tong, Hardwell and Laidback Luke.


10. Outlook Festival In Pula, Croatia (Sep 7-10)

Based in an abandoned Roman fort outside the city of Pula, Outlook is another one of Europe's largest dance music festivals. The event focuses mainly on underground dance music with varieties of Dubstep, Drum n’ Bass, Techno and House genres. It has been crowned for “Best Overseas Festival” at the UK Festival Awards in 2011 and has grown in capacity since its start in 2008. This is another dance music event that you can’t allow to pass you by if you are looking for a memorable summer. Also, make sure to check out the event’s popular boat parties that lead up to the Outlook festival if you want to get the most out of it!
