The Best Dance Events to Celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday!

Canada Turns 150 on July 1st, 2017 and the whole country is celebrating! Aside from offering free admission to national parks & amazing ticket deals including this one, Canadians will all be celebrating in their own way. There’s gonna be camping, bbq's and more, but we found some great Canada Day events for dance music fans! Here’s a couple of awesome events to check out while celebrating Canada Day!

Ritchie Hawtin, Maceo Plex & more at Electric Island

Electric Island is a series of events that take place over the summer in Toronto. The events are typically held on Toronto island, which can be reached by ferry. Each event showcases amazing talent and the Canada Day edition this year is one not to miss! Ritchie Hawtin & Maceo Plex playing in the same night with the support of such international talent like Recondite, Roman Flügel, Chaim and more! There’s also tonnes of local acts to keep the day filled with music! This is one of the more unique series of events in Toronto and it's sure to be a sell out crowd! Escapade Music Festival!

Escapade Music Festival features a star studded line up featuring acts such as Tiesto, Above & Beyond, Zeds Dead, Clause Vonstroke, Dada Life, Steve Aoki, Mat Zo and more! The celebration takes place in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada from June 24th - 25th, 2017! The event is hosting it's own after parties and will take place downtown. Escapade has become better every year and has survived the thick competition of all the other Canadian festivals, especially on the eastern side The event is 95% sold out and with a lineup that has something for everyone, its not hard to see why. Deadmau5 & Halifax's FREE Canada Day Concert

This one is a no brainer if you’re in the area. Deadmau5 is the biggest Canadian dance music producer and it’s only right he play a home country show to celebrate the 150th year! Not only will this be the first and thus far only Canadian date that deadmau5’ will present his cube 2.1 set up, but it’s also FREE! This will be a family friendly event with a big fireworks show! There's no complaints here, just get there early and have fun!
