What So Not Just Gave This Group a Huge Kickstart
If you follow What So Not, there’s no doubt that at this point you’ve heard the remixes for his Divide and Conquer EP that dropped two weeks ago as of the time I’m writing this, or as I like to call it, the “Trust” and “Lone” remix EP. Not saying it isn’t awesome and the tracks aren’t well deserving of this slew of remixes, but a little more variation would’ve been welcome. But I digress.
One of the best remixes for “Lone” on the EP, in my opinion, is that by Slow Hours. Never heard of them? Not surprising seeing as this is their second official track as a group. Slow Hours gave “Lone” and intense sense of action while still maintaining the serenity of the original. What’s really cool about this six piece French music ensemble is how this remix came about.
What So Not took to Facebook today to announce that while at a show in Paris “this kid” (one of the Slow Hours members) approached WSN telling him they had remixed “Lone.” WSN just so happened to have a pair of headphones and a few minutes of his time to spare, and after loving the remix, made sure to get it on the record.
