YehMe2 Drops Long Awaited Sequel Compilation, Steal This Mixtape 2

YehMe2 has a seemingly endless stream of content ready for action at all times. The former Flosstradamus member and Chicago native recently concluded his “beat a day” series showcasing daily originals and bootleg remixes of popular tracks under his new alias. The projects largely shaped what we now know to be YehMe2’s most ambitious project yet, the newly minted Steal This Mixtape 2.

Whether you knew it or not, the perfect 4th of July soundtrack dropped in perfect time. Earlier this week, YehMe2 hosted his release party for Steal This Mixtape 2 at Chicago’s historic Smartbar. The 28 track compilation gave fans plenty of new listening material as it dropped on the eve of Independence Day. After listening to STMT2 in full you can’t help but feel acquainted with the dynamic ebb and flow of YehMe2’s world. While longer substantive works are few and far between in the world of electronic music, STMT2 carries enough weight to get lost in again and again.

From the choral swells of “Mexico”, to the giddy thumps of “Mollyworld” along with remixes of Kendrick Lamar, Ana Lunoe and many more peppered throughout, STMT2 is a holistic glimpse into the many spheres of influence shaping YehMe2. Stream STMT2 in its entirety, out now via Fools Gold Records.
