Giraffage Drops New Single From Upcoming Album 'Too Real,' Announces North American Tour
The Bay Area based producer, Giraffage is back with an announcement for a new album, Too Real, and a new North American tour.
The first track that came out from the album is out now. Titled “Slowly,” the track is still heavily influenced with happy synths and bright vocal chops that Giraffage is known for but with a fresh new take. The new effort also features vocals and co-writes by Matosic, the NYC based pop artist.
Too Real will be Giraffage’s third album, following up his 2011 full-length debut, Comfort. Scheduled to release on October 20th under Counter Records, the album is very personal.
“I spent a lot of time writing and scrapping various other songs (and) ideas, but Slowly was the first one to click, and in turn, it helped inform the rest of the album. This is the first time I’ve worked extensively with vocalists, and I think that collaborative aspect led to some of the best music I’ve ever written. This album was written from 2015 - 2017 during a dark period of my life. So finally finishing it was a rather cathartic experience, and I’m excited for what the future may hold.” Giraffage said in a press release.
Pre-order the album now through his Giraffage’s 90’s aesthetics website filled with fire and cool monkey gifs http://giraffage.com/. In the meantime, catch Giraffage along with Sweater Beats and Wingtip at their North American Tour. The tour hit the first city on the 25th of October but tickets are on sale now!
