Bassnectar Announces Freestyle Sessions Summer Gathering 2019
The bass head community of Colorado is in for a special treat this summer, as they have been the past two years. Bassnectar has announced the third annual Freestyle Sessions Summer Gathering, which will return to the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield from June 7th-June 9th.
As with previous editions, the event will afford Bassnectar (real name Lorin Ashton) an opportunity to broaden his musical palette outside what he typically plays at major music festivals. Each night of the event will have different themes: "Freestlye," "Dreamtempo" and "Wildstyle," in that order. Joining him are such bass music mainstays as Thelem, Pushloop and Phutureprimitive.
Although Ashton rode the dubstep explosion of 2010-2012 straight to international superstardom, his discography is quite diverse. His first release under the Bassnectar alias was a breaks mixtape titled Freakbeat for the Beat Freaks which came out via Amorphous Music in 2001. Albums like Mesmerizing the Ultra, which came out in 2006, were more along the lines of trip-hop.
Presale tickets to Bassnectar's Freestyle Sessions Summer Gathering will be available on February 20th, and public onsale starts February 22nd. For more information, visit the event page on his website.
