Diplo Announces Stagecoach After Party Performance in Tongue-in-Cheek Video
Diplo is proving to be the EDM world's unofficial Renaissance man as of late. Yesterday the chart-topping DJ/producer appeared in a trailer for the upcoming Pokémon movie. Today, he has revealed an even more surprising partnership with Stagecoach Festival.
The irony isn't lost on Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz Jr.). A video teaser shared to promote his performance at the Indio, California gathering's inaugural after party - billed as Stagecoach: Late Night in Palomino - pokes fun at the odd pairing. Among the other artists on the lineup are Travis Denning, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Ashley Monroe.
Stagecoach has taken place annually since 2007 and features performances by country, folk, bluegrass and roots rock acts. Among the festivals organizers are Goldenvoice, who also hold Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the same location.
Stagecoach Festival 2019 will run from Friday, April 26th to to Sunday, April 28th. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the event website.
