Marshmello's in-game Fortnite concert was the talk of the EDM world earlier in the year, and now it appears that the game is exploring actual, physical music events as well. Epic Games has announced a gathering called Fortnite Summer Block Party at The Forum in Inglewood, California, and among the headliners are some of the hottest DJs on the market.

Representing EDM at the two-day event will be Dillon Francis, Cray and Tyler "Ninja" Blevins. Among the highest-profile performers will be Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco and singer Jordan Fisher.

Epic Games were by no means the first developers to experiment with in-game music events. A few weeks before Fortnite's Party in Pleasant Park, Minecraft billed numerous DJs for a digital gathering called Fire Festival.

Pre-registration for Fortnite Summer Block Party is closed at the time of writing. The event will run from Saturday, June 15th to Sunday, June 16th.
