With festival lineups dropping left and right, the 2018 festival season is off to one heck of a start! Global Dance Festival has just announced its return for its 16th consecutive year, and they have promised more surprises than ever before. On Friday, July 20th and Saturday, July 21st, #GDF will make its triumphant return to its new home at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.

Last year, after several years of pushing against the limits in terms of the size and scope of the event, Global Dance Festival changed venues from Red Rocks to Sports Authority Field. The open field was a perfect transition from the Festival's original locale at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Sports Authority field is significantly larger, allowing for many more attendees and vastly improved stage production, not to mention completely alleviating the struggle of running up and down hundreds of stairs multiple times a day just to go from one stage to the other.

This year, Global Dance also implemented several additional changes from the previous year - #GDF18 will be expanding to even larger festival grounds, adding a brand new stage, including additional rides and much more. The lineup is also more diverse than ever before, and it's exciting to see traditionally dance music festivals finally incorporating a wider variety of music. Welcoming other genres aside from electronic music (at what was previously an all dance music festival) can be a little intimidating, but the scene is changing rapidly!

MK, Claptone, Claude VonStroke, Gorgon City, and Thomas Jack are just a few of the awesome artists who will be spinning at the Amazon stage. Other major acts at this year's Global Dance Festival range from dance music legends such as Deadmau5, Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, and Tiesto, all the way to heavy-hitting Hip-Hop headliners such as Future, Gucci Mane, and Machine Gun Kelly.
