Forecasted thunderstorms have led to some artists' sets being canceled and the final day start time of Governors Ball 2019 to be delayed.

The final day of Governors Ball 2019 will be getting a late start due to forecasted thunderstorms.

Festival representatives posted the news to the festival's official Twitter account and dedicated update page on their website and informed attendees to stay off the Randall's Island Park until further notice.

Just a few minutes ago, the festival released the updated schedule following the delay.

Governors ball 2019 revised sunday schedule

Unfortunately, due to the shortened festival hours, some artists with earlier set times will be unable to perform.

Governors Ball will reopen at 6:30 PM and music will start at 6:45 PM. Louis The Child, Nas, and The Strokes will take the stage on the final day of the festival which featured heavyweight acts like Gesaffelstein, ZHU, Major Lazer, and more.

Many fans are reminiscent of the 2016 iteration of the three-day New York City festival where the final day was outright canceled due to severe weather.
