The final day of Governors Ball 2019 will be getting a late start due to forecasted thunderstorms.
Festival representatives posted the news to the festival's official Twitter account and dedicated update page on their website and informed attendees to stay off the Randall's Island Park until further notice.
Just a few minutes ago, the festival released the updated schedule following the delay.

Governors Ball will reopen at 6:30 PM and music will start at 6:45 PM. Louis The Child, Nas, and The Strokes will take the stage on the final day of the festival which featured heavyweight acts like Gesaffelstein, ZHU, Major Lazer, and more.
Many fans are reminiscent of the 2016 iteration of the three-day New York City festival where the final day was outright canceled due to severe weather.
