
Fans Destroy Art Installations as Governors Ball Cancels Final Day Due to Weather
After the starting time for the final day of Governors Ball 2019 was delayed, festival officials were eventually forced to cancel the festival due to severe weather.
Sometime after the cancellation, an attendee captured video of what appears to be other attendees destroying festival art installations in response to the shutdown.
The festival was initially delayed several hours but was later shut down entirely. Festival officials gave the following update to attendees:
"After close consultation with NYC officials and law enforcement, it was deemed necessary to evacuate the site and cancel the Sunday evening of Gov Ball 2019 for the safety of our festival goers, artists, and crew. The safety of everyone always comes first."

Governors Ball 2019 took place May 31st - June 2nd at Randall's Island Park in New York City and featured performances from Major Lazer, Gesaffelstein, Louis The Child, and more.
