React Presents will bring back the ever-popular Mamby On The Beach this year from August 23rd-24th. Fans rejoice, as Chicago’s only festival that is literally on a beach is moving to a bigger, better location. Previously hosted at Oakwood Beach, several miles south of the downtown, Mamby’s new home for 2019 is the more popular and more accessible Montrose beach.
Montrose Beach is located on the north side, just off the coast of the Uptown neighborhood in Chicago. Montrose Beach’s larger footprint will allow for Mamby to have three stages this year, as well as a plethora of More The Music activities. This year’s More The Music activities are touted to include silent disco, yoga, wellness workshops, beach games, live painting, and fire performances, as well as a Braid Bar and Henna and Body Art Dome, among other things. Along with all the new action, festival attendees will of course still be able to swim in the lake and play in the sand.
This year’s Mamby On The Beach will also be co-hosted by Jam Productions, who will bring artists and talent from a wide variety of genres. Montrose Beach is a 15-minute drive from downtown Chicago, and a five-minute walk from the Red Line.
GA tickets begin at $99 plus fees. Lineup and tickets will be announced on Monday, June 3rd. More information is available here.
