From Black Coffee’s soulful techno to Rusko’s relentless wobbles, NYC's got variety.

Halloween is great.

You get to dress up however you want, judgemental stares not included. The weirder the better. A chance for uninhibited personal expression, or to don cat ears and paint whiskers on your face.

If you’re an electronic music enthusiast, Halloween means an extra influx of live shows to celebrate the spooky holiday. Even if you don’t care much to dress up or celebrate Halloween, you can bet it’s a good reason for promoters to present plenty of Halloween shows and festivals. Naturally, for the avid concertgoer, any reason is a good reason for more shows.

For those in New York, there’s an astounding amount of electronic music shows to choose from. Some shows embrace the Halloween theme, some don’t. Regardless, from Black Coffee’s soulful techno to Rusko’s relentless wobbles, there’s plenty of musical variety - and, of course, decisions - to be made.

Here’s our guide to all the electronic music events in New York leading up to October 31st ordered chronologically.
