It wasn't too long ago that the future of Ultra Music Festival was uncertain. Now that it's locked in for Virginia Key in 2019, the three-day Miami gathering has gone to novel lengths to remain a topic of conversation.
Case in point: Today, Ultra's organizers have revealed the Phase 1 Announcement for next year's edition of the festival.
As a swarm of Redditors speculated, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Martin Garrix and Tiësto are among the names topping the bill for the 2019 event. Joel Zimmerman will return to the festival - both as deadmau5 and as Testpilot - as will ODESZA, Illenium, Marshmello, Zedd and Adam Beyer.
Ultra has taken place annually since 1999; in 2001 it relocated from Collins Park in Miami Beach to Bayfront Park, where it has taken place each spring. After the Miami City Commission rejected the festival's contract to remain in the same spot, it was allowed to move to Virginia Key following a controversial vote.
Ultra Music Festival will take place from March 29th to March 31st, 2019. Find the Phase 1 lineup announcement below, and purchase tickets on the event website.
