Jax Jones rose to stardom back in 2014 when “I Got U,” his hit collaboration with Duke Dumont, made waves on the charts, even earning him a Grammy nomination. Another pivotal moment for the UK sensation was an uber-cool song with pop superstar Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don.
A classically trained guitarist, inspired by R&B legends like Usher and Craig David growing up, music was a big part of his life from the get go. The Londoner veered towards DJing when he heard the rugged sounds of UK garage and grime, eventually falling in love with the sweet sounds of house music.
He champions house music with a breezy twist. Straight enough to pay homage to the classic genre, but filled with bouncy energetic sounds to give it a personal edge.
Get a taste of his style as he takes the decks on Beats 1’s weekly radio show One Mix, exclusively on Apple Music. With tunes from the likes of Chris Lake, Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Will Easton and Flashmob, there’s going to be plenty of house, and an overall vibe fit for the end of summer.
